Physiotherapy Hip Replacement

In this video you will find our how quickly you and the Physio team will start working to get you back on your feet again after your operation.

It is important to start moving your new hip as soon as possible after your operation to promote good blood flow, to regain movement and muscle strength and to help the recovery process.

You should be out of bed and walking with a walking frame or crutches within 24
hours of your operation.

During your stay you will again practice how to get in and out of bed, safely how to get into and out of a seated position, and how to climb and descend stairs.

You will probably remain in hospital for 2-4 days after your surgery.
