Previously in the British Army as a Trauma Orthopaedic surgeon (1985-2003) – Mr Rossiter trained in London, Londonderry, Belfast, Gosport, Plymouth, and Oxford, and, has done fellowship training in UK (London, Porton & Oxford), USA (San Antonio, Dallas, Baltimore & Seattle) & Russia (Kurgan – Siberia).

On the International Consensus panel for VTE prevention in Orthopaedics and has been a member of a NICE committee on VTE.
Chairman of Incision Medical Indemnity: insuring 200+ surgeons.
On advisory board for Open Medical.
Medical adviser to Rams Rugby.
Past (& Founding) President of the Orthopaedic Trauma Society.
Mr Rossiter led the setting up of the South Central Trauma System & Networks and was a previous Clinical Lead for Trauma & Major Incidents and previous Clinical Director at the Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital – Hampshire Hospitals: where he worked 2002-2020.
Mr Rossiter has been Trainer of the Year for the Wessex area twice, “NHS Shine Awards Inspiring
Educator of the year” finalist (twice), and, recipient of an Hippocrates Award for excellence in
the field of medicine from Who’s Who.
He chaired the AO Advances & Principles courses in UK & Ireland for 7 years, faculty for the
Current Concepts, and, Training the Trainers courses. He co-authored the original STEP
course for RCSEng & has been a Basic Surgical Skills tutor.
