Born in Johannesburg. Passed the qualifying exam as a Chartered Accountant before starting medicine in 1985.
Completed my medical degree at the University of Witwatersrand.
General surgical training in Bury St Edmunds, Oxford and Ashford followed by orthopaedic training on the Cambridge & East Anglian Programme.
Did specialist training in both Knee and Foot & Ankle Surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.
Hip surgery including minimally invasive hip replacement.
Knee surgery (arthroscopy and all partial / total replacements).
Foot & Ankle surgery (including arthroscopy).
Member of British Orthopaedic Association, British Association of Surgery of the Knee, British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Association
