I trained at Leeds University and worked at St James’s University Hospital and the Leeds General Infirmary before undertaking Basic Surgical Training in Newcastle upon Tyne.
My Higher Orthopaedic Surgical Training was at the prestigious Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry and I completed a Fellowship in Sports Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement Surgery at Sportsmed SA in Adelaide, South Australia in 2008.
I have worked as an Orthopaedic Consultant in Winchester since 2009. I see patients with all disorders affecting the knee. I treat a lot of patients with cartilage and ligament injuries and I perform a large number of arthroscopic procedures including anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
I have a particular interest in treating patients with conditions affecting the kneecap and recurrent patellar dislocation.
I perform a large number of partial and total knee replacement procedures. I have experience of navigated and personalised knee replacement and I have performed a number of procedures using Mako robot assistance.
I am an Associate Professor at St. George’s University Medical School, Grenada and I organise the surgical programme for students who come to Winchester. I train junior surgeons to manage knee injuries and to perform arthroscopic and knee replacement surgery.
