I studied medicine at Nottingham University. I trained as an Orthopaedic surgeon in the Wessex region. I spent a year working in the Department of Health as Clinical Advisor to the Chief Medical Officer. I was granted an AO Trauma Fellowship in 2018 and spent this in Philadelphia. I then carried out a Trauma Fellowship at the Oxford Major Trauma Centre.
